The visiting Victoria State Galahs, the State Representative team in VFL Victorian Football League, won by 3-16 to 1-10 over Leinster GAA County Representative team Meath on the first game of their Tour in Ireland.

In the second game of the International Series in Ireland the touring Galahs from the VFL defeated GAA County team Mayo by a closer margin than their opening victory, winning 2-12 to 2-5.

About the 1967 International Series

The games were the first ever test games for International Rules Football, also known as Inter Footy in Australia and Compromise Rules in Ireland. International Rules Football is a Compromise between two similar codes of Football: Gaelic Football, played in Ireland; and Australian Football, originally played in Victoria State.
