Ireland’s Women went down by 5-0 to World Champions Netherlands. Yibbi Jansen hit a hat-trick, scoring inside the first minute and again in the first quarter from a penalty corner. Joosje Burg scored in the second quarter to leave the Dutch 3-0 at halftime. Ireland grew into the game in the second half, but despite holding the Dutch scoreless in the third quarter were to concede two more in the Final Quarter – First Yibbi Jansen netting her hat-trick and then Joosje Burg scoring her second to leave the Final Score 5-0.
